1. | Like George, drifted a little R (pulled by other runners) was very surprised to find myself at the trail ditch. Especially since I couldn't figure out what it was from the map (looked like cliffs on the map to me). But then I picked up on the contours ahead of me.
2. | Dad blast it! Thought I was leaving #2 instead of #1 and went E. Didn't understand why water crossing wasn't on map. When I found my #10 I was really deflated.

4. | It helps to read & understand the clue -- the reentrant on the map looked like a spur to me. I overshot and found the big reentrant on the other side. Wandered a bit.
5. | Another very poor leg. Plan was to go S, avoiding most of the climb, then cut E. Went up laurel bashing & ended up in an area that looked to me like the control area. Wandered before heading back to the trail and following it to a place I could locate.

7. | Went too high to the L, but figured things out when I was at the cliff due N of the control.

F. | Darn -- I was feeling much better than yesterday -- having my good ol' shoes in conjunction with the easier terrain meant I was doing a lot more running. But I guess I was too exuberant & not thinking clearly. Excellent course, though. |
