NEOC Gay City State Park: Red

1.	+03:00	The control was not on the feature, but I hunted around until I found it 60m to the south on an unmapped rock.

5.	+05:00	Was off a little approaching the circle from the W, and missed to the S. Parallel confusion led to a slow recovery.

7.		Crossed the marsh near the parking area, getting shoes wet.

9.		Stayed low. The beautiful stream provided a good help in finding the big boulder for an attack point.

12.	+03:30	To the NE across trail then heading east on spur, checking for boulders along the way to the southern tip of the uncrossable marsh. Lost track and went too far, reaching the knoll near the big marsh to the E. Slow time is not entirely due to overshooting. I was also going slowly to be careful not to get trapped in a marsh that I didn't want to cross. Steve Richardson reached the control at the same time I did, and we were pretty much together the rest of the way.

14.	+01:00	Steve went S of the marsh and I went N. Paused before deciding to prefer wading through the marsh over fighting through the brambles.
