1. | Nadim wanted a 10 minute lead (I found out the reason at #20), but I only gave him 2 minutes. Figured that was plenty for him to beat me. He is usually slower getting ready to race so I waited for him in order to give him his lead. On this runner-friendly course, it was going to be difficult to beat him! | ||||||

14. | The kind woman at the map exchange told me Nadim was 6 minutes ahead of me. No chance I'd catch him, but I wanted to get ahead of the guy I hit the control with! | ||||||
15. | The guy I was with at 14 stayed on the trail while I took the more direct route through the woods; he had gotten way ahead of me but we came into the control together. | ||||||
16. | Guy got ahead of me leaving the control again but I hit the big trail better, and took a better route. Ahead of him for good. | ||||||
