Led my group up and over to B, but strayed L and too high and climbed 2 contours high; straight down to control. But remembered this later at end!
4. Down to control ok.
5. Disturbed by others
Picked up trail and let it lead me to control.
6. Ran too fast

Bad compass work
Not thinking clearly

Decided to go EHGIF, but screwed up exit from 5: headed E to trail, but stayed to high and hit trail jct heading NE. Ran NE 300m before I checked compass. Turned off trail and cut back across rocks, should have just turned around. Headed S thru fast open woods. Drifted to L and saddle S of Willis Knob, decided at this point I might as well do FIGHE. Got to F and followed Greg Balter leaving control; only he hadn't gotten to control yet. Had to reverse and follow Peggy to control. What a waste of time!
7. I: Easy shot.
8. G: Up trail.
9. H: Straight thru woods on compass line.
10. E: On bearing around W tip of rock bands.
11. Contoured all the way to control.
12. Straight line to control, bending enough E to avoid all the rocks and then into control from SE. Good leg.
13. Did not check features en route
Read map too late
Hesitated
Bit slow at control circle.
14. +01:00Hit trail bit R of target, came down parallel to trail leading to control. Had to correct E 100m.
15. Confused parallel features
+01:00
Bit slow around power line, got into some green stuff.
16. In just behind Ron Bortz.
17. Clean up to control. Passed Ron and left him behind.
18. No attack point
Did not check features en route
Ran too fast
Bad map reading
+04:00
Contoured just a bit too low, went past control and had to come back 200 m. Saw control just as Ron reached it.
19. Ran too fast
Read map too late

Follow trail and then faint trail around L of knob. Didn't see trace of it on map and didn't realize how far L I had gone. Had to search and double back 100m to control.
20. Straight to control.
21. Ran MKJL. Ok to M, even thrashing a bit of green.
22. Bad map reading
Bad compass work
Tired
Not thinking clearly

K: Left M 180 error, had to double back around hill. Brain fade. Crummy green getting down to brook. No problem finding control.
23. Lacked confidence
Hesitated
J: Clean to control area, stopped just short of control and wondered if it really might be just over that next bump (it was).
24. L: Stoney junk run up along creek valley.
25. Up hill. Up road. What a drag!
26. More road. Picked up Vicktoria as I closed on control.
27. No attack point
Tired
Running on autopilot across to control.
28. Did not check features en route
Did this ABDC: bit R going to A lost some ground to Ron Bortz again. Hadn't seen him for 6 controls.
29. Up and over to B. Remembered where it was from the first time through.
30. No attack point
Did not check features en route
Down to D. Too far R. Couldn't remember anything about this control.
31. Over to C
F. Down along rock band to trail and in.
