1. 124m 1:27 43 +36 71% 58.6 30 21 11:41   124m 1:27 43 +36 71% 11:41 I went out to the field and cut back in at the corner. It was more green than expected. I was preapared for the 1:4,000 scale but not the 1.5m contours. I was expecting to see a much deeper reentrant. I stopped at the right distance a bit left of it. After seeing it, I saw J. Brautigam observing the fun.
2. 192m 1:23 34 +28 51% 68.7 15 7:12   316m 2:50 40 +1:00 55% 8:57 I used the trails, almost missing one turn--the trail was so faint. I stopped before correcting and apparantly lost more time than expected.
3. 84m 37 37 +14 61% 68.5 5 7:20   400m 3:27 37 +1:10 51% 8:37 I ran down the tail but pulled-up a little early. It seemed to me that there was an extra boulder but it must not have met the mapping criteria--something I often have trouble with in CT.
4. 148m 49 18 +9 23% 83.0 5:31   548m 4:16 28 +1:18 44% 7:47 I ran straightish, following the white woods as much as possible, then bearing left.
5. 120m 54 15 +15 38% 79.0 7:30   668m 5:10 21 +1:33 43% 7:44 I used the trails but once in the woods I was a bit more left than I thought I should be. As I approached, I saw Ksenyia running toward #6.
6. 224m 2:56 54 +1:34 115% 47.0 1:00 1:10 13:05   892m 8:06 35 +3:07 63% 9:04 I ran fairly straight and hit the wall. I was expecting the control to be on the other side but didn't look at the map again till I had walked on the wall to the trail intersection--somehow I missed seeing in on my right though I thought I was looking on both sides. After some more reading and turning back, I found it and couldn't believe I missed it earlier.
7. 112m 51 12 +11 28% 82.4 7:35   1004m 8:57 32 +3:13 56% 8:54 Out to the field and in on the trail until the woods opened up.
8. 104m 41 29 +14 52% 69.1 6:34   1108m 9:38 32 +3:24 55% 8:41 I ran fairly straight and caught back up to Kristaps Tamuzs who had probably passed me while I wandered around #6. He led me in.
9. 88m 40 23 +10 33% 75.8 7:34   1196m 10:18 29 +3:34 53% 8:36 Kristaps got out fast but I gained. I think he kept me from making a mistake going wide right.
10. 152m 1:07 23 +22 49% 70.1 7:20   1348m 11:25 25 +3:55 52% 8:28
11. 76m 37 16 +10 37% 79.3 8:06   1424m 12:02 23 +3:58 49% 8:27
12. 144m 1:16 21 +15 25% 82.0 8:47   1568m 13:18 23 +3:16 33% 8:28 I got out fast and moved ahead of Kristaps. As we entered the ride, I went straight across and hit the trail to the pond. Kristaps went through the ride and I didn't see him again. Seeing the turn for the pond, I was still hesitant.
13. 88m 37 20 +9 32% 80.2 7:00   1656m 13:55 23 +3:22 32% 8:24
14. 188m 1:10 14 +10 17% 87.6 6:12   1844m 15:05 22 +3:27 30% 8:10
15. 208m 1:04 4 +7 12% 91.1 1 5:07   2052m 16:09 21 +3:29 28% 7:52 As I left #14 and got to the field, I passed Jeff Saeger on the left by a step or so, then turned right thinking the control would be there. I almost tripped Jeff in the process of this boo boo. I instantly knew that I had to go around the next field edge...
16. 144m 38 26 +9 31% 78.1 4:23   2196m 16:47 22 +3:35 27% 7:38 I had worried that Jeff Saeger might catch me.
