Yet another disaster. Was not having a great day and this just got worse when I caught Aoife. I had left a very large gap before starting. She was part way to 3 but convinced she'd gone far enough. I then doubted myself and did a bit of an excursion including hurting my knee before pushing on. Eventually got the the right area but was awful in the vicinity. Didn't even get into the circle to start with, no idea why as I knew where it should be (an eventually was). Then a bit wayward to 4. Finally got there, but no control. Stood around for a fair while convincing myself. By which time there was a bit of a gathering, and Aoife shoed up too. I was then trying to hang off the back of the pack but they would not run away from me.. That with sore knee I decided it was best to head straight back from 5. After falling in the creek.

Arboretum with Nat - to see the autumn leaves. Cold breeze to start, it was sheltered in the middle bit, but could feel it at the far end, and also on the last little slog home from coffee.

Aoife has been swimming the last 2 mornings but I have been very stiff and sore and could only muster a walk and lots of stretching, so a couple of days off running.

Felt better today and managed to another lap of the lake. Next step is to do the 5km lap... Need to take advantage of the light mornings for as long as they last. Still no frost but it was a gloves morning today.
