Just a long walk on the treadmill, because I shouldn't aerobically exert too much cos still quite ill and can't breathe properly. But felt good at the end, like it was doing something - gotta keep up this muscular strength whilst I can't increase aerobic capacity

Quite annoying - cos they said theres nothing to be done but wait until better, so just gonna try to get into as good shape as possible before the middles and northerns - just gonna try for Stockholm now, everything else is out of the window

Another bad run - the nav in the first half was ok, just a bit dodgy, but in the second half I had a much longer gaffle, so lost the others, unable to run as fast as them due to illness, so just not a good race. At least I wasn't out for more than 30mins, but had to stay for another 3hrs and helped to push cars out :)

British Orienteering Championships - 21/22
Absolutely awful. Was unable to run from the start due to breathing, so in such a physical area, was unlikely to do well. Navigation was mostly good until the end, in the seriously steep slope, where my map got so muddy I couldn't read it, so I had no clue where the controls were or what features they were on - quite lucky that my bearings were pretty good. Annoyed - cos my aim was to get the nav right, even if I couldn't go fast, and I couldn't even do that for the whole way round. If the BOCs had been 5 weeks earlier, this whole holiday would've been very different, but I have just lost the lung capacity while I've been ill and unable to train, and it is really disheartening
OCD has been getting worse again due to these bad results, so I really need to enjoy O again, and stop putting so much pressure on myself. Any tips?
