Such a terrible day. Felt sick and tired so spent most of it asleep/passed out on the floor rather than revising for the exam tomorrow. Felt really quite sick on this too. Hopefully life can do me a solid and get even just a tiny bit less shit.

25 continuous Felt pretty shit before this so just set off to see how it goes. Felt pretty rubbish for the first 8 mins but kind of just shut off completely so had no problems after that, just cruising.
Peg turbos starting to feel very flat, don’t know if it’s just the post carbon effect but they were getting a bit flat before that.
Could’ve probably gone for longer but I was under strict instructions from the mother to be back by 8 for chicken dinner. I think I make that 125g of protein today entirely from chicken. Let’s just say I had the post exam munchies.

A long day. Many more long days to come. Need some new goals. Maybe that way I will find some energy to run up hills rather than trudge. Like most of my seat runs of recent.
Had a couple of asthma episodes this afternoon. Think it’s most likely linked to stress/anxiety. Which is weird because I haven’t had those kind of problems for about 5 years. And they never used to initiate asthma. Geography tomorrow and physics Thursday. Great.
Gym with Daniel and Ben Did a bit of upper body with them but as it turns out I am pretty dead so did some rowing and skiing. Not worth the hype.

Will sesh on Tuesday, need another days rest. No bad thing because my higher geography exam is Tuesday morning so will need my Monday evening for cramming.

That was pretty crazy. Feet were sore and achy on the WU and hammys were still a bit tight. Felt pretty drowsy and tired. Think I was more stressed for this than the selection races for some reason. As soon as the gun went off however I felt pretty great. Set off about 3rd row as I knew there was plenty of time to move through. Lachlan Thomas went out hard and got a gap. Thanks to Frank’s elite racing lines I was feeling pretty comfy in the group. Went to the front of the chasing pack at 1km. Then started to hurt 3.5km in so handed over chasing duties to Frank. Dropped back a bit but hung on enough for a big PB. The kick made up a couple of places in the last stretch. Stayed focused the whole way and didn’t look at my watch because I knew I would panic if I did, due to the fact I haven’t run this sort of pace in a long time. Very happy. This was meant to be a starting point, think I need a more ambitious end goal now. Big relief.
