failed keswick parkrun
cancelled because of ice on the bridges :((
considered doing it on my own but the aim of today was to beat my pb (and mr milledge) and i don’t think that would have happened alone. jogged round keswick instead, down to the lake and a loop of friars crag and then i went up castle head for fun, incredible views though - snow on the tops of fells across the lake!! wish i brought my phone. would actually have ran further but had to get back for the bus back to edinburgh that i didn’t end up getting rip… long run in keswick next time i’m back home i think.

mawbray night o
actually really upset about this, i was so excited to race round this because i’ve never actually been to mawbray in the dark. ran fast for a total of one leg, then faceplanted on the way to #2, scraped my knees, elbows, stomach and hands and whacked my head on the floor. lay on the floor for a minute contemplating whether it was too sore to keep going, sat up and then decided i may as well jog round. set off again and immediately got very disoriented, then saw the cows and got scared, went round, got even more lost then eventually found #2. rest of the course was fine from there, jogging round but nav was pretty good. couple of little mistakes and one slightly bigger overshoot but sorted out fairly quickly. very painful with my leggings rubbing against the graze on my stomach and also fell in a hole and had a bit of a sore ankle for a couple controls. no lasting damage done, head seems fine and everything else is just going to be a bit painful for a few days. still enjoyed this despite my issues though!!

cogra moss loop with issy
horrific weather, insanely windy and torrential rain!! struggling to stay upright for half of it. had to bail on the 8km loop because the path was too flooded but actually wasn’t much shorter going the other way round the lake. actually was very fun despite the awful conditions, did have to wait a while in the car before driving back because i couldn’t feel my hands though :(
