taking it fairly chill as calves were gigafucked
wore the roadies but probably not the best decision as there was a fuckton of mud. Found some new trails in craiglockhart that were class proper wee scrambles. Have to come back when feeling a bit better

small session pre IoM. Felt bit tight and sore on the warm up but after a day of sitting down that's expected. Felt pretty decent on this and first shorter reps for a while. Good to get the speed in the legs. Had theo and bennet breathing down my neck the whole time to keep the intensity.

a pathetic slr but its more than the planned rest day. Calves were very sore but couldn't turn this down especially in the sun. Felt very slow and was very slow but was the quickest i could do.
afterwards walked pretty far and played a round of golf and the calves kinda just didn't hurt. decent news but will still take this week easy

first leg which meant an inevitable fast first km and a decline in pace after that. felt easy but always does at the start of a race. Was over pretty quickly but didnt feel amazing. Calves and shins a bit sore but mostly just unable to get the legs turning quicker. 10s slower than last year despite feeling fitter
disappointed with myself, next weekend is looking like its gonna be shit
