Long run with Rachel from the train park in Glen Forrest. First part was slow through a few steep hills, then we got lost because the track we were supposed to take looked a little overgrown at the start. We got a fair way down the wrong track before Rachel decided we were going the wrong way since the track shouldn't have been going downhill. Added some extra distance and climb to the route. It was getting hot as we got onto the track through the quarry, which didn't have any shade so we decided to make a stop for water when we got to Darlington. By the time we were on our way back along the railway trail we were getting up to 12-13 km with 3-4 km to go. I knew my longest ever run was somewhere from 16-17 km so I did a couple extra laps of the train park at the end to push the distance up to 17km.

Mens pennants against East Freo. Played #2 singles against Nic O'Brien (UTR 8.83) and lost 5-7 3-6. Was up in the first set 4-1, but that was mainly down to him making tonnes of unforced errors. Couldn't time anything the whole day, felt really uncoordinated. Serve was really inconsistent and deteriorated throughout the match as I got tired. Probably hit about 15 double faults over the course of the whole match. By the end of the match there was a circle of ball fluff on my strings that went around the edge of the racket face leaving an empty spot with no fluff right on the sweet spot.

Doubles I played #1 with Scott against Nic and Lincoln Duckett. Feeling pretty dead the whole way but played better when it counted to come away with the win 7-5 2-6 10-7. I had a good return and a couple of clutch big second serves to seal the match from 7-7 in the tiebreaker.

Team lost by a set. Disappointing to get so close to a team that's much higher on the ladder but not come away with the win. Not looking likely that we'll make finals, especially with Cottesloe crushing APTC to pull 4th place even further away.

Trying to find some form before pennants on Saturday with a little hit with Craig and Rachel and for serving practice. Took about 10 minutes for me to make a serve so not looking too good.

Riley's orienteering training at Manning Park. Mostly good with a couple of little mistakes. Overshot slightly on #1 and tried to go around the hill on the long leg from #11-12 but hit an unmapped fence and thought I wouldn't be able to get through on my original route choice. I came through there later though and it was fine, I think I just panicked a bit and didn't think it through because the fence was heading straight towards an OOB area where I hit it.
