Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. We will teach elements of course planning and design, what makes a good orienteering course, common mistakes and how to avoid them, and we'll do practical exercises in checking control sites and placing controls. You'll also get experience with course setting and mapping software. Learning to "think like a course setter" will also help you improve your skills in the woods!
Check-in at 8 am, Class will go from approx. 8:30 to 3. Please email Mike Minium to reserve a space. There will be plenty of time to get a bite to eat and drive to the MVOC night-O.
