Start times: From 9:30am for pre-registered competitors

Map: Munday Brook 1:20 000, 5m contours (2011 edition) A3 (course 1 & 2) & A4 (Course 3 & 4). Drawn to Australian 4x2 track grading standards.
Terrain: Typical WA bush with several small private orchards and vineyards, which are mostly out of bounds. Tracks vary from well made gravel roads, to medium riding bush tracks, to slow, indistinct and overgrown firebreaks. There is one small area of single-track that is used by trail bike riders. There are also bitumen roads around the perimeter that may be used during the course. Cyclists are cautioned to obey road rules when riding on roads and to watch for traffic.
Facilities: Toilet, water, sports bar
Bring: Bike, helmet, water, map board (limited hire boards available), cord for attaching SI tag to bike, puncture repair kit, Sportident e-tag (available for hire on the day, time should be allowed to do this).

Directions: The assembly area is at the Pickering Brook Sports Club (Weston Road), 600m east of the junction of Canning Road and Pickering Brook Road.
Special notes: There is a firing range on the course. Competitors are advised to avoid this area, although it may not be in use. Courses will go near the range and will pass signs and fences advising of the firing range. On the day, this will be marked out of bounds with adequate event specific signage to prevent accidental entry into the area.
There is also a golf course on the map. This will be used during the event. Areas marked as open land (orange) can be ridden on unless marked as out of bounds and in some cases this will be necessary in order to reach controls.
Tracks shown as overgrown (green) range in the level of rideability. Overgrown tracks shown as medium riding may have vegetation growing along the middle of the track but may not necessarily impede progress. These tracks are easily passable. Overgrown tracks shown as slow riding will impede progress and it is recommended that gloves be worn if using these tracks. Overgrown tracks shown as difficult riding are impenetrable unless the rider dismounts. It is highly recommended that both slow and difficult grade overgrown tracks be avoided if possible.
