Type: Orienteering - Other
added by: PG
A weekend of orienteering fun and games, both serious and not so serious --
1. Late Saturday morning: 3K on the Amherst track, with 1K option for cripples in chain mail (very serious).
2. Saturday afternoon: Orienteering Superstars (held every 20 years) (very serious).
3. Saturday evening: Pot luck dinner, no burritos allowed.
4. Later Saturday evening: Bowling (very serious).
5. Sunday morning: UMass Super Sprint (very serious).
6. Early Sunday afternoon: Peg Relay retro style at Quabbin (very serious)
7. Later Sunday afternoon: Closing ceremonies.
Entry: Pre-entry only. A sense of humor is required (seriously). Non-members of CSU allowed if they have sufficient style and/or are gorgeous. Even members of CSU must have a sense of humor. E-mail pg@crocker.com ASAP as there is a still to be determined entry limit.
Note that there is no opening ceremony by design, to keep the riff-raff away. And Peggy and Joe both easily satisfy the style and gorgeous requirements. And Feet, well, he and his true love qualify because they're from Oz, and pretty much everyone from Oz is gorgeous and most of them have style too.
And then there are the Brits. They're gorgeous too, plus they get lots of bonus points for having to put up with the world's worst climate (and only a few negative points for mangling the language).
