Type: Orienteering - Local

The Scoop:
Solo racers and teams of 2 will travel on foot through the vast acreage of Clarence Fahnestock State Park searching for checkpoints.
Checkpoints are scattered in the woods over a wide area and each will have a point value. Racers will have either 4 or 8 hours to collect as many points as possible, and must strategize in determining which checkpoints to go after and still make it back before the time cut-off.
The great part is that you can do as much as you like. The course will be friendly to all levels because YOU pick the checkpoints to go after!
We will have a 4-hour course and an 8-hour course, and a total of 5 (count ‘em, FIVE) time options for this event. There are three times for the 4-hour course (two daylight options and a night-O option). There are two times for the 8-hour course (one daylight option and one half daylight/half night-O option). See below for more details on timing.
