The Berks County Parks department has recently purchased the Angora Fruit Farm and
is using it as their new Nature Center.

Registration will be at the new Nature Center on Angora Road, please check the event schedule or the new location.

The courses will be contained within Antietam Lake Park and the area south of Rotary Park. None of the courses will cross Skyline Drive (where the steepest slopes reside).

Be careful driving into the property. Orienteers will be crossing the driveway, may be on the Angora and/or List road, and possibly running through the Fruit Farm for some spectator potential!

The 1:10,000 scale map is the top quality offset print map used for the A-meet in 2002.

Some trails have been added by printing on top of the pre-printed map. An example map will be at the registration area with more details.

I hope you will find the advanced courses have a lot of variety- route choice, short technical legs, open woods running, contouring, rock detail, trail running, and navigating/route choice in lower visibility areas. The area is often more physical than other parks (choice your course wisely), but you will be rewarded with great orienteering and the beauty of Mount Penn!
