Discussion: Royal Gorge

If you're short on time, I'll note that I found Royal Gorge to be pretty disappointing, and not really worth going out of one's way for. But opinions will surely vary.

Part of a tour package. Up Pikes on the cog in the AM (auto race going tomorrow as well) for a little exposure to altitude, then they bus us to Royal Gorge for a whitewater rafting trip & BBQ, then back to UCCS dorms for another night. Then Philmont.

Caught a bit of Widespread Panic's soundcheck while at Red Rocks this afternoon. :-)

Oh, the bottom of Royal Gorge. That's different. It's the bridge that's a useless tourist trap.
