We Americans are going to need all the help we can get. If you want, I may be able to provide some options as far as lodging and/or transportation, depending on your embarkation points.

As for the orienteering, I'm told by very many that it will be excellent.

Okay, I have to weigh in here. You should come to the US Champs since you are a US citizen. And also take in some great training beforehand in Laramie. The ultimate trip might be to attend the Canadian Champs on Aug. 2-4 and then travel to Colorado for the US Champs on Aug. 9-10.

There are many possibilities. No matter what I choose among the five or six options, the opportunity cost will be high. They will each bring many pleasant experiences, though.

Round Mountain is pretty cool. You should get out to the Lake George area sometime, assuming you haven't yet. If not this year, at least put it on your bucket list.
