Solid effort, Ari. A few remarks:
- On goat etiquette: conversation is allowed and encouraged, especially if it's to the effect of "does anyone know where we are?"
- The gentleman en route to 6 with the "Norge" shirt is Ethan Childs, and despite his pretenses, he is on the US and not the Norwegian team. I think he likes skiing, but not as much as you do.
- On Alex's reminder to use contours: I imagine you looking down at the palm of your hand on which you've written "use contours" with a sharpie. It made me chuckle.
- I hope you liked control 10, because next weekend, I'm burning that reentrant down with gasoline.

Yeah, I need to do better with the talking to people. Something like "okay Adrian, since we seem to be doing this anyway, why don't you lead towards the control, and I'll check out what's in the circle." Not that we would have made up the 15 minutes (!) you made up on us after 10. I'll talk more next year; I just don't want people to assume I know where I am or what I was doing. (I did catch the feature on 17 that confirmed we were way north, and then let the rest of the party figure out where to go.)

And, yes, 10 can die. I'm pretty sure there are three or four extra reentrants in there And that a darker green could be used. Alex's "I went to the bottom and then found mountain laurel" strategy was interesting. I hadn't realized I was running with one of the Children there.

Didn't realize I was second for a time. Thanks for taking us straight to 2—in retrospect (looking at splits) a very good skip.

The collaborative conversation will be helpful in some situations, but useless in others. If you try talking to feet, for example, I doubt he will spare the breath to laugh at you.
