If I were to go again, I'd make sure to have the single bladed paddles available. When we were caught in the feet of swells and the wicked head wind last year, the team that was single-blade paddling next to us had an easier/faster time moving through the rough water than us in our double bladed paddles. Even Adam with his strength and skills. While we were faster than them in calm waters earlier. Maybe that's just a reflection of my abilities.
