I think my mom always looks stylish, even when orienteering. I assume she was wearing makeup as well?

Well, I'm not the most observant person when it comes to a lot of things, but, yes, I do believe there was some make-up.

And she said that it was good that you had the air-conditioning working, because there was no way she would come and visit without that.

And she seemed keen on getting an O' club started at her school this fall.

She had a friend with her, a regular O' partner I gather?

Yes, she has a regular O friend that she'll go to meets with - another woman who claims she's never liked any sport before she tried orienteering.

I don't think my mom is aware that we keep the A/C at 79 +/- 1. I figure she won't mind once she actually gets here and realizes that when it's 105 outside 80 inside feels really nice.

And I wonder if I were to wear makeup if it would affect my performance, one way or the other.

What! You don't wear makeup?

Most people meet my mother and immediately turn to me to say, "What happened to you?"
