You can probably find a language setting to allow for UK English spelling. I imagine it's pretty annoying to be "corrected" all the time!

At least it keeps me away from Aussie English :)
Annie, nice to catch up again at BB. Great to see your O coming on- tough terrain up there and kudos to you for persisting.

thanks BP! thanks for the advice at BB, i used it! also it made me feel better to hear you say it could take 5-10 years to get good at O. i'm in it for the long haul and hope to run into you at the next big thing!

Annie, some people learn quickly (AliC) and seem to be naturals, and the rest of us who persevere just keep working at it. Let's just say that after over 20 years, I have fewer and fewer of the big blow-up days (like some folks had on Sunday), tho' an occasional one does come along. With training for stamina and o-skills, you should do great!

Yeah Annie, ten years under the belt here and only barely feeling competent at the national level. BP is right, it can take a long time to "get" orienteering - but I'd add that it's worth the investment. Focus on minimizing mistakes first, and on speed second (although you need both) and you will do well.

now...to minimize the mistakes... ;)
