meet at 0800. probably get transported somewhere for a start at 1000.

section A is a loop that includes shooting and 9 rogaine free-choice CPs. return to start.

section B is 9 CPs that we ride to a bike drop and then get the CPs rogaine on foot. there are also 2 additional free-choice CPs. return to start. something fishy going on w bikes here but "it will be clear when you get there"

section C is combo of things that brings us to the finish line. 27 mile bike. 28 mile paddle broken up w trekking ections. first trek at IC king park. second trek at a cave somewhere closer to the city. then take out at outdoor Knoxville.

then more section C. 2 separate rappels, one at Fort Dickerson and one at Meade Quarry. some biking through the Urban Wilderness south loop. then to the finish at Krutch Park.

Yak is pessimistic that anyone will clear. hard to say at this time since we only have a map for the end of the race (starting at IC King park).

and this is the way i see it...

More like Stage A (Trek with shooting) to Stage B (bike, trek, bike) (Stage A and B combined should be less than 15 hours) then to Stage C which is 2 hour bike, 4 hour paddle, 1 hour trek (with a swim), 2 hour paddle, 2 hour trek w/ caves, short paddle (0 miles long (I think something is incorrect in the instructions), then a 4-5 hour MTB with 2 rappel sites and 2 small orienteering courses.

Really crazy format. Sean Clancy would hate it. I am not a big fan, but we will see how it goes. Lots of things to keep straight and lots of things to do out of order, 4 sections were team can split up to do short o courses while other members do activities like shooting, caving, and 2 separate rappels.

Good luck, guys. Sounds pretty nutty. I hope the RD can keep all the staff and racers on the same page.
