Since the snow slowed me down considerably and my wet feet made my legs quite tired early on, I was able to concentrate on the map well and didn't have any real big errors. I had four small errors.

.) I cut across the ridge just across from the building, instead of going around on the road. I then followed the tracks along the rock wall to the control.

.) I basically ran straight at it using the swamp as an attackpoint. The wetness of the area below the control confused me, but I only hesitated and didn't really lose any time.

.) I cut out above the swamp and across to the second trail. I followed it to the reentrant where the indistinct trail leads down to the road. I cut down the reentrant to the stream and along the northwest side of the ridge to the boulder with the control. I cut around the boulder to the south side looking for the control but it was actually hung on the east side.

.) I cut straight across, but hit the swamp just north of the swamp I wanted. I noticed the cliffs across the swamp didn't match and was able to relocate off of them. I lost between 45-60 seconds.

.) Out to the trail next to 4 and continued straight south at the trail bend. I followed the ridge past the green swamp, but instead following it all the way to the rock wall I cut down to the indistinct stream. I lost some time zig-zagging along the stream and though the next marsh. I finally hooked up with the rock wall and shot off the end of it to the control.

.)I followed the ridge down the the end and then cut down the reentrant to the group of rock piles.

.) I went straight which proved to be the best route choice by quite a bit as I was able to blast through the mountain laurel very fast. I did however hit the control 150m too high along the ridge losing close to a minute.

.) My biggest error was on number 8. I had decided it was an easy control since I just had to hit a swamp and follow a reentrant up to a knoll. As I was climbing the hill up to the swamp I followed a different reentrant to a swamp higher up. I quickly noticed that I was at the wrong knoll and realized my mistake. I still lost 2 minutes on the control even though I relocated quickly. The extra 15m of climb really hurt.

.) I headed out of 8 up the hill and then contoured along it to the flat area where the knoll was.

.) Cut along the hill dropping a little bit until I hit the large reentrant. I could see the control from across the reentrant.

.) I cut out ot the swamp and across the rock wall to the control. I made a small error at the control as I ran just by the control before turning around a seeing it. I didn't lose more than 30 seconds though.

.) I stayed below the field and used the rock wall to navigate into the control.

.) I cut directly out to the large trail and followed it to the lake. I made a bad route choice when I followed the trail along the lake before cutting into the control. I had originally planned to take the trail south of the control as it would provide a whiter area of woods to attack the control from.

.) Straight out to the road and then through the woods between the cabins and the swamp. I don't think it was any faster than the road, but it felt good to run through the woods.
