Details from the Star Herald. Original distances from Rev3 (but I get the idea that they will be reduced by 100 miles or so).

Day 1 - The race begins with orienteering to checkpoints in Curt Gowdy, followed by rock climbing in Vedauwoo and a bike ride through Laramie to Medicine Bow, where the racers have their first overnight check-in.
5-15 miles trekking
20-30 miles single-track biking
50-60 miles road biking
20-30 miles fire road biking
Ropes section
Total distance = 95-135 miles

Day 2 - Next, they hike to Seminoe Reservoir, canoe its 18-mile length, then hike to an orienteering course at the Miracle Mile, the stretch of the North Platte River between Seminoe and Pathfinder reservoirs.
20-30 miles fire road biking
30-40 miles trekking
20-30 miles flat-water paddle
Total distance = 70-90 miles

Day 3 - On day three, the racers bike to Martin's Cove, where dozens of Mormon handcart pioneers perished in an 1856 blizzard. Racers will have the option of pulling handcarts for 5 miles and collecting checkpoints before biking into Alcova for the night.

20-30 miles fire road biking
20-60 miles road biking
20-30 miles trekking
Total distance = 80-120 miles

Day 4 - The last day brings a bike and hike followed by a canoe trip down the North Platte. Racers finish with a brief slosh down the North Platte River on river-boards and jog through Casper.
20 miles road biking
5 miles trekking
20 miles paddling
1 mile of whitewater riverboarding
Total distance = 46 miles
Grand total distance = 290-390 miles

They've been posting pre-race team videos rather than just team photos - nice! Not sure if they're posted anywhere else besides Facebook.

DART will be Ryan VanGorder, Matt Hayes, Mari Chandler and Ryan Ognibene (Boulder). Should be a good race!

Here are the results through CP23. Not sure what the final Check-in time means. I'm reading it the same way as Ang. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B18VN2wF_GJ_YjZjVn...

End of Day 3 results posted: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B18VN2wF_GJ_YjZjVn...

this is what i take away from that spreadsheet:
TEAMS w all CPs and O-course controls
1. Tecnu 4p coed (+757 minutes)
2. GearJunkie/YogaSlackers 4p coed (+509 minutes)
3. DART-nuun 4p coed (+492 minutes)
4. Untamed New England 2p male (+422 minutes)
5. Yogaslackers/ENDracing 4p coed (+253 minutes)
6. Silent Chasers 2p male (+253 minutes)
7+ all other teams have missed CPs

am i right in understanding that the fastest teams get to sleep every night at the mobile TA?

also the scoring spreadsheet is crazy (all those smileys!!) but it seems like Rev3 race direction has got its hands around who's virtually ahead. i'm really interested to hear from teams what their perspective is.

The race is going well. Tecnu and Untamed are racing together. They are on the optional "O" course. Yogaslackers are 3rd on the course. I am working on getting some more video up to night. I posted 3 videos on Rev3 Facebook page this am.
Really bad wind on the lake yesterday. 3- 5 foot waves.Everyone is OK but it was 1 am before we got all of the water.

2 minutes after the above post Untamed came by where I was looking for a cell signal. They are looking good but today was "like a convection oven"on the bike

Results are here.
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B18VN2wF_GJ_YjZjVn...

Untamed New England (JayXC and EG) were the first to cross the line on Day 4, having cleared the course and won their division. Tecnu (Tico 2.0, Getawaystix, Garret and Super K) also cleared the course to win the 4-person Coed division. The only other team to clear the course was Gear Junkies / Yoga Slackers, who placed 2nd Coed.

Congrats on your victories, Attackpointers! :)

There are lots of photos and videos on Facebook.

Race's unique format seemed to work really well for everybody. We didn't get a 3 day non stop expedition but that's fine as getting 3-5 hours sleep every night will really help with recovery. Fun racing as a 6 person team for many if the legs with 'the boys' Erik Grim and JayXC. Jason, shoot me an email. kylerpeter@gmail.com. Got to chat Bob the Beaver import regulations.

Bash:
Oh, I don't think Bob the Beaver would want to leave the country. We still miss him terribly since he left the province (temporarily).

Tico, the Rev3 FB page indicates that Untamed were the "first to finish" but Tecnu FB page says you "won overall". There are some time credits on the results sheet, which may explain the confusion...?
Jul 22, 2013 6:45 AM #
Cali Cowboy:
They were the first to finish day 4 (and day 2). We were first day 1 and 3. The actual times for each day haven't been listed, but I believe our time on course was less than their time.

Congrats to everyone racing out there. From the facebook page, the last leg with the riverboard down the rapids looked like a ton of fun. I'm surprised there was no horseback or bull riding in the race ..;-)

Thanks, Tico - this was a hard race to follow. Congratulations!!
