Didn't see any until I got home last night and Frankie greeted me at the door with a tick nicely visible against his mostly white fur. I tried to brush Bayley who wouldn't hold still because I'd never see a tick on his black fur. I had just given them the flea and tick medication before the Rogaine so maybe that's why it hadn't attached. Could have brought it in on my shoes from the backyard, but I figured the Rogaine was probably where I picked it up.

There was one on my back when I got home on Sunday. I don't tend to get ticks (I must taste bad) and this one wasn't attached even after several hours. Just sitting there probably wondering how he ended up with the luck to grab onto the world's least tasty specimen.

I'm glad it wasn't attached because I could barely reach back there to get it off to begin with.

I suspect this fellow was on my socks, which had been rolled up with the other laundry. He had started to latch on but hadn't gotten far; and died a gruesome death. :-)

Mine wouldn't die. I kept crushing him in a tissue with no noticeable effect, so ended up giving one more good squeeze and then flushing it down the toilet. From which I keep imagining it will emerge still kicking....

Front step, firestarter stick. Use your imagination.

Yea, I think toilets work too. I don't think you can just squeeze them. We've sometimes folded them in a piece of tape (suffocating them?).

Folding them in tape is very effective. We have tape dispensers in strategic locations around the house. Crushing them is not a reasonable strategy, although maybe if a hammer was involved it would work. Flushing? Too resource intensive.

Ah well...I'll just add those two to the list of things I've done wrong this week alone.
