glad it went really well and thanks for the full report. Are you allowed to sunbathe while you recuperate?

Good luck with the recovery. I've had three ablations so far (one for flutter and two for fibrillation) and still no luck. Very frustrating. My resting heart rate went from 40 to 70 after the second ablation and hasn't come back down yet.
I tried the detraining thing too, going three months without any exercise at all, but it only seemed to make it worse.

Thanks again everyone.

@Craig - interesting to hear your experiences. To be honest I have heard about more people who have continued to have problems after an ablation than have had total success but everyone is different. It is now a case of wait and see to establish what camp I am in. Hope you find a way forward as I know had frustrating it is.

Nice write up Rob, good to hear that things went as well as could be expected and fingers crossed that the end result is as hoped. At the very least hoping you will be going well enough to run the Bright 4 peaks the first weekend in November, although it is also a very good destination for fine food, wine, coffee and sightseeing so put it in your calendar anyway.
