Discussion: Salomon Adv Skin S-Lab 12

Last week, I picked up a Salomon Skin pack at the Salomon Toronto store for half price ($100 plus tax compared to $200). Unfortunately, I didn't even think to check the size and it's a XS/S. I can bring it back but thought I'd check to see if anyone was interested. It's a great pack and amazing price so let me know if interested.

Thanks for the offer of the deal DD11. I would love to snap that up, but I already bought the same pack (fantastic!) several months ago.

I ended up with two! One to keep in good shape for ultraruns and one to use for 1-day adventure races with bushwhacking. Super comfortable and that is an excellent price.

Would love one, but not my size...:(
Question, do they ruin a shirt/jacket during a run by shifting around?

Actually, Myka, it probably is your size. It's the size I use - there are only two sizes. They are supposed to fit tight.

They shift around the least of all my packs and don't have any pressure points so they have less effect on shirts/jackets than other packs. You still might see some rubbing on a shirt here and there, e.g. on top of the shoulders.

That is a really great price, and I agree....the pack is awesome for trail running. I would leave it at home for any bushwhacking adventures for fear of ripping the thin (but light) material, but I am in love with mine.

That's why I bought the 2nd one! It's held up OK so far but it's not designed for bushwhacking so I keep one for on-trail use only.
