Through in strength and agility training few times per month to avoid types of pains you are having. Runners tend to ignore those types of workouts.

I am not religeous person overall however most religeous thing I have ever done was stretching before any type of workout - 10 minutes of warmup run followed by at least 15 minutes stretching.
