Discussion: Splits are up

For the courses with recognised AP runners.
Looks as though everyone made the same dumb route choice 1-2 (straight) or maybe it wasn't so dumb after all.

James McQ went around and won the split

I was 4 second off him and I went straight, and he can run faster than me ..
there was a track to follow next to the fence which helped ...

I am not sure it is straight forward .. perhaps the fastest was straight, but only after a track had formed, and there were many variations of straight, some faster than others .. so a little bit of a lottery ..

Still it was not as dumb as taking 2-3 going right. "White" appeared to be quite green plus it took ages to find path through blackberies near m7, and then nice hill as a bonus! I was completely worn out after that.

Good on James - the lure of the guy in front going straight was too much for me. Glad I wasn't out there early.

I thought I was the only one Dmitry :) ...
