I hope that this bulldozing makes these shortcut opportunities more fair. I have thought that the current mapping of them (as all second green) can sometimes be a bit misleading, and may unduly scare unwitting runners away from them. There are often quite a few places to get through these green strips with little resistance. Often, you just poke through a narrow barrier of honeysuckle, run a few meters in relatively open area around the streams, and then poke through on the other side. Hopefully, the map updates will encourage more runners to poke through some of these areas.

The annoyance is that they have also cleared out many of the little copses that made great control locations. They have left the larger single trees, but those are not as good as a copse for putting a control behind & not having it possibly be visible from some good approaches but not others.
