You might be interested in trying safety glasses with small magnifiers built into the lenses - at least on days when it's not raining. I've been using them for a couple of years. After some initial crashing on my face (because I looked down at the ground through the magnifier), they feel totally normal and it is much, much easier to read the map.
not really having problem reading the map, except when its over crowded in details- . and since i map quite often , i tend to read lots of details. might be a good tool for the future
