2. Sergei Zhyk
3. Wyatt Riley
F21

2. Hannah Burgess

Both Eric and Ali were also first overall (including those not eligible for the USA champs).
Thanks posting this! It is indeed near bedtime, and we are curious. Congrats to Ali and Eric!
Thanks! appreciate the update.
It seemed like the event went well. Beautiful weather each day. Nice arenas. Three different terrains. The courses were all praised. The orienteering was far from easy and many mistakes were made, but it seemed just right for a championships.
I know the key CSU people put in a lot of work and nice that it went well.
Noticeable among the Canadians was Eric Kemp, especially good runs in both the middle and the long, second overall both times.
We have been following as closely as AP/Facebook allows :) Very proud of CSU! They set an ambitious goal. They worked really really hard. I hope they can take some real pleasure in this success, but I expect they will all be too "exhausterated" for awhile.
Fantastic event! Excellent maps and courses, and even better, fun throughout. Lots of cheerful people were the icing on the cake.
I agree with j-man. The Fall Foliage Festival was a fun event and certainly of championship quality, in the organization, the maps, the courses, and especially the professional and welcoming attitude of all the event staff. Thanks to CSU for a fantastic weekend!
It was exciting to participate with such outstanding orienteers on high quality maps and courses. Thanks to all the CSU organizers! Your abilities and savvy are impressive, and this helper found you a pleasure to work with.
Which US champs does Ali currently hold? Can she complete the Slam next week?
Super job all round CSU team, kudos to you all.
Oh, I think that's going to be tough. Trail O'. Interschlastics. Intercollegiates. Rogaine.
So far I think she's got a couple in Ski-O, plus the 2-day Classic, plus the three this weekend. Up for grabs this week are the night and the relay.
On Saturday at the Middle there was a reporter there from the NPR show "Only a Game." He seemed quite sure that there will be a story about the event sometime in the next two or three weeks. Initial contact was made by Sara Mae Berman. They will let her know the actual broadcast schedule in advance so we can spread the word.
Interscholastics and intercollegiates are junior championships; they don't count. The other two arguably do.
I'm sure Ali will be running for the win at the Corn Maze O Champs this week as well.
I think you're forgetting the US Corn Maze champs, too. Those are also up for grabs soon. I hear. :)
cmorse beat me to it. :) (Darn slow Croatian interweb!)
I saw the guy with the microphone Saturday and wondered who he was. I've been thinking for a couple of years that orienteering would make a good story for "
Only A Game", but it wasn't obvious to me what would be a good event for them to show up for. This was clearly a great choice, thanks to Sara Mae for notifying them.
Splits are posted for all courses except Orange(import issues).
Class results are on the
website.
Maps to follow soon.
ok, I hate being the one to point this out. But Ali hasn't won a ski-o champs yet. I'm the reigning champion in middle and long distances. She'll no doubt remedy that situation this winter.
Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! It was a pleasure to be able to assist you all, and I'm happy to hear you had a good time!
Nice event, CSU! I think everyone else here has already made the points I would have made, so I'll just say "ditto!"
WRE points for Saturday are
here.
Yes, great courses, great atmosphere throughout. Was quite impressed by the
venue setups that the organizers had to build three times at different locations.
And then Lynn Woods! What a great find! Definitely need to have some local events there soon!
Looks like a great event, observing it from afar. Maps look top notch, nice courses, arena and announcing. Way to go CSU!
Yes, great job CSU. Obviously A LOT of hard work and careful planning. What I am most impressed about is how all the organizers/staff seemed to be a "younger" group and not the older, more seasoned members. And everything went great.
By the way, the younger group seems much more likely to experiment with things (like the registration system), but that's good! Keep it up.
great event. loved being registered and given my package by two of the top f21s
Which US champs does Ali currently hold? Can she complete the Slam next week?
How long has she been orienteering now?
Great courses and event! Thanks to everyone who made it possible! I was wondering if there are any plans to get the maps onto something like routegadget
http://www.routegadget.net/Would be really interesting!
We are working on routegadget, and should have the data up soon.
Excellent! Thank you again!
I was amazed at all of the amenities...tent, tables, chairs, music, announcing, food, buffs, great t-shirts, puzzle awards and, oh yes, terrific courses...you thought of everything! Thanks CSU!
Such a great weekend. Thanks!
Here are few pictures I took at the Sprint champs at Franklin Park

Thanks for the organizers for a great weekend!
For OUSA website results-page purposes, will there be a single "results" page link (say, on the CSU website) that I can use, or should I link to the main event page (where your links are) or individual race result links?
In my best Ross Smith voice, "Yeahhh, CSU!"
Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, despite my performance.
I will get a single page up with links to all the result, splits and maps.
Ditto to everything. It all added up to a stellar weekend. Great job CSU!!
Kudos to the event crew for quickly fixing the few problems that did arise -- even those due to competitor mistakes, like forgetting to clear/check... ;-)
Big 2 thumbs up for CSU events!!! Thanks!
Nice work CSU! Impressive events! We had a great time!
The "delegation" from Israel (Lisa & Yuval Mishli and Israel Kornberg) thoroughly enjoyed the terrain, courses, and hospitality. Thanks, CSU!
Pictures from a control on the M/F21 course of the middle champs.

Wonderful event. Great maps and everything seemed to run so smoothly. Great job at each of the venues. Thank you CSU.
Anyone at CSU happy the snowstorm wasn't on your weekend? It would have been a completely different event! Also nice that lots of people didn't return to dark homes.
Any chance of getting the Orange splits up for the Long?
