I'd be curious to hear how the light works for O - the one review on that site said it has a narrow beam. Hurry up and try it out so we can all know!

I think it's great, but I haven't used many top-end O lights so my basis for comparison is pretty weak.

There are lots of orienteers in Sweden that have bought this light and (supposedly) use it for night-O. I have one myself, but have only actually used it once or twice since I also have another similar light (Petzl Ultra) that I prefer at the moment. I bought it mainly because it was extremely good value for the money compared to what you usually have to pay for this quality - thought it would be useful to have an extra light if anyone else in the family needed it.
(ArenĀ“t there several threads already discussing this light and other similar solutions, BTW?)

I don't have the patience for threads that reference multiple different lights. ;-)

This looks like it might be a nice light to add to the arsenal, given the cost...

Can one purchase a "winning headlamp" for $44? PG spent some 10x that I believe for same. Ken W. Sr bought a China imitation. I spent time behind him in a Pawtuckaway nite-O 2 yrs ago appreciating the view. There has been much said on this subject. I want a lamp that "lights the woods" next time I go out competitively. I will return to those threads (of gold) in search of a/my guiding light:-).
