I have the info that I'll need to work out everybody's Scramble choices, and will post them, probably later today. Got a few other things to iron out first.

I went the optimum way -- CDEF. :-)

Charlie:
CDEF. Was it optimum? In retrospect CDEG looks like it might have been good. I didn't take a very direct route from F to 8, diminishing the advantage it had appeared to have.

feet and I went CDEF, and I am pretty sure that was best, so I was wondering if you'd done the same.

May not have been optimal but it looked easier: DCEG

I and Andis did CDEG, but I agree with Sandy DCEG is more optimal, but it was way too late up the hill on the road when I saw that option.

No, I still think CDEF wins. Going DCE is 2.65km, CDE is 2.25. Going EG8 is 1.6km, EF8 is 1.2km. But it was a well-designed scramble, since it really isn't obvious at a glance which is the best choice.

At 3 the splits will show I was well back of the lead pack. I passed Francis at 8 and I believe I caught andis and Vadim at 9. Just sayin.

And an old guy catching a bunch of old guys proves what?
Oct 3, 2011 5:04 PM #
Joe:
Didn't say it proved anything. Just like you catching me proves nothing. It may suggest that you had a more optimal route though.

I would sort of like to see the splits, or even results for that matter. I assume they will show up some time?

Me catching you, well, maybe that might have happened in some previous life. You're still running/navigating well for a blind guy. When are you going to get your eye(s) done?

speedy:
It depends also how fast and clean you were. We lost some time.

True speedy. I was surprised to see you at 9. I was thinking I picked the wrong combination but then a bit happier to see Francis. Splits will help. Results would be nice.
Eyes? Probably get the left one done after CSU.

Results should be up by tonight, likely splits as well.
