If it is, best to put some numbing lotion on it. Scratching doesn't help. If not, hmmm.

That's very strange Janet, I have just come on to Attackpoint having looked at that exact same page of the Mayo site! It could be poison ivy I think, but it wasn't too itchy today, so nothing major. It has been a weekend of exciting US nature related firsts!

Would poison Ivy form little pus filled that burst and then heal? (Eurgh, grim, I know!) Because that's what happened! It's totally fine now.

yes, I think so. But I'm not the best person to comment because I don't react to it (one of the advantages of coming from a place with plenty of spiky plants but not one that you get sensitised to as a kid...).

Not really pus, but yes, that is what it does. On the other hand, if it showed up only 4 or 5 days ago and is already better, that doesn't sound like it. Most folks take about two weeks to get over poison ivy. Maybe you just didn't get very much. Can't imagine what else it is likely to be.
