Also hoping that ash clouds won´t affect flights to and from Ireland. Leaving Sweden for Dublin on Tuesday 31 May if everything works as planned.
We´re staying in a cottage in Kilcrohane out on Sheep´s Head Peninsula. Where will you be staying?

We've got a room at a place called the Maritime in Bantry, for better or worse. Have a day before and a couple of days after for other activities, not yet determined. Hope the ash cloud is gone. Also that it's not rain and wind and fog the whole time, but if it is, well, I guess that will make the orienteering a lot more interesting. And easier to get a tee time the rest of the time.

When I did the Shamrock on the Sheep's Head [should be the opening line to a song], the first day was fog (low cloud), the next two days blue, blue skies. Hopefully you'll get that sort of perfect weather.

Why don´t you write the song? Make sure to include fog and blue skies in the lyrics as well...

I think the song has already been written...by Irving Berlin in 1926:

...I was blue, just as blue as I could be
Ev'ry day was a [foggy] day for me
Then good luck came a-knocking at my door
Skies were gray but they're not gray anymore

Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see

Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right

Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see...
