I am looking for a gps tracking watch i can wear in a race that would not provide ANY gps related data to the face. i.e. pace, speed, distance, location. I was hoping that one of the main manufacturers would have something like this, but alas, i have been unsuccessful.

The reason is i want to see where i have been and have accurate data to post on AP when i finish a race. But obviously have access to the data during the race.

There must be something out there that does this, anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

I don't know of any watches, but a "GPS data logger" may work for you. Orienteers have discussed these a bit since some races permit only screenless GPS devices.
