I'm looking for ridesharing from NYC on Friday and returning on Sunday. I haven't yet arranged for lodging, but I would prefer to stay in a motel close to the events. I'd like to avoid having to rent a car if possible. I can take a train to Peekskill if someone can pick me up there.

Due to the lack of response I booked a rental car, so I can give someone else a ride now if needed. I'm staying at the Econolodge in Highland Falls for two nights.

Yes, my car reservation is for 6pm. We could either get the car then and drive up, or we could dine in NYC first. The car rental place is open until 10pm. I'll email you my cell # and location.

Recommend Flushing - really convenient to LGA. Mini's Shabu Shabu has excellent Chinese hot pot/fondue, and Spicy & Tasty has awesome Szechuan! Almost never visit NYC without dining at one of them. Gives time for the bridges to clear from rush hour before hitting the road.
