The 2011 Georgia Navigator Cup & Southeast Interscholastic Champs A-Meet has been rescheduled for March 19-20 at Richard B. Russell State Park. Registration will re-open on January 24 and regular registration will close Feb 28. Late registration will be possible until March 11. Registration will be open to prior registrants, new registrants, and will now allow up to 15 students per school in the interscholastic classes. For registration options, please check here: http://www.gaorienteering.org/Special_Events/GNC20....

While GAOC was disappointed that inclement weather forced us to cancel our January event, we’re excited that offering the event in early spring gives more orienteers the opportunity to attend. So why not shake off your winter cobwebs and jumpstart your orienteering skills so you’ll be in tip-top shape for the upcoming season & championships!

Thank you for re-scheduling the event. You get top marks for perserverence.
The change of dates creates a 'window of opportunity' for me. The January date was never good for me. Now I will be there. My wife and I are also looking forward to playing at that gorgeous golf course in the park.
This will be my first opportunity to compete in my new age class - M 65+ - so look out you old farts.
I hope others will jump on the chance to participate in this event, too.

Thanks, gordhun. We still had snow outside the house this morning - after 16 days. Unheard of. It has rained all day, so it should be gone by now, but it's supposed to snow again tomorrow!

Rescheduling for March 19-20 was a really tough call, too. Our equipment and course setter was tied up with the Navy JROTC Nationals on President's Day weekend, and we really couldn't get our ducks in a row any earlier than we have done. Any later and we would have run into the 3 A-Meets that are already in April.
