yeah plenty to keep me fuelled up. Got up to 3 hours before breakfast last year (although fuelled up the night before). Got the idea from this article: http://www.mcmillanrunning.com/marathonlongrun.htm

great link rob. i love the idea of the 'fast long run'. do you think it would be feasible to take this idea and use it for classic distance orienteering? e.g 75-90 minutes steady followed by 25-30 mins of increased pace?

yeah defo - I think this has been missing from my training for so many years - I was too used to the long slow / steady jog.
