Actually, we're nothing like that other Superstars event. They require some elements of style and gorgeousness. We just require a phone, Skype, or some version of telepathy. And, of course, some generosity, since this is a fund-raiser for our Washington Interscholastic Orienteering League.
At that other Superstars event, competitors were asked to carry a cord of ski gear at certain times, and wives at others. For our local runners in Seattle, we won't even burden them with carrying a map! (Following the instructions given by his/her global teammate will be enough of a challenge as it is...)
Another requirement for that other event was to show up to the event site (how hard can that be?). With MoboGoGlobo!, you can be a global navigator, so you can't use that as an excuse. The event takes place wherever you are! It's the laziest form of orienteering around!
I guess a few things are the same. Both are fun, and both will have online photo/video coverage. (Our live photo blog will get better this year with the addition of an iPhone!)
Registration for MoboGoGlobo! 2011 opened last week, and we're starting to get some folks signed up. Don't know anyone in Seattle? No worries, we'll match you up with a local runner!
