That's just her insurance trying to save a buck. Your insurance (you're covered, right?) should be able to fight back. Just keep a copy of this note so you have a record of what happened. The police aren't stupid, just present your side of the story.

The truck is insured, but through the Company I drive for, so there is a 3rd party involved

Hand it over to your insurance. That's what you pay them for.
