Sounds like somewhere different for a run at least....
I did a run once in the far south of the NT which consisted of running into the desert on a bearing for 30 minutes, turning around and coming back (more or less to the place I started from).

here at least there are a few small hills to run back to... we're pretty much dead centre here. a couple of small hills, and a lot of flat all around. the desert looks like it would be great to run through, except all the nice grass is spinifex, so best to stay on the tracks.
