Let me know if your trip is re-scheduled. There are some nice hikes/trail runs near WSMR and even more cool places to visit in the high mtns on the E side of the basin (I used to live there). Baylor Pass from Aguerrie Sprgs in the Organs is an annual trail race. 6 miles, lots of climb. Bring water, as there is none anywhere.
