Congrats on the win though! I kept going back and forth between really wanting to be there and thinking the downhill ending was probably a killer. I'll definitely have to get up there some time to try out the terrain though.

Thanks. I wondered where you were. The downhill wasn't fun but it was only one or two legs and really wasn't bad in comparison to West Pt, Harriman stuff. I'm sure there will be future opportunities on the map.

The downhill was the trickiest part of the course design, I think. Glen did his best to keep people out of the gnarliest spots and offer reasonable choices for the descent. On my green course test run I had o shoes but not active ankle and could have used it.

Sandy, I liked your suggestion of having both hikes (up and down) off the clock with just the uphill area for courses.

If we could only convince the state to build a chair lift or funicular to get people up! Think of the money they could raise to pay for it in user fees! And too bad the west end road access is blocked by the medium security prison.

Every time the state threatens to close the prison because of costs I hope it happens; but that's unlikely as many local jobs would be lost.

We're so happy everyone loved the terrain and courses. And the map wasn't bad either!
