Glad I got to see her one last time recently. How is Sassy taking it?
I just did a quick AP search for Hazel in your log and there are an awful lot of entries that included her. Nice to have had a companion to chase the bears away and take the quill punctures and beaver bites for you.
Not only that, Jim, but Hazel did her best to keep the various water holes on Ratlum Mountain as clean as possible by removing as much mud as she could....
Hazel was around a long time and she was no dummy. If you left some food within reach, she was very appreciative.
A very fine companion. Saw her just last Saturday. She looked fine, but obviously she wasn't. At least she had the best house to live in that a dog could ever have.
Sorry to hear the sad news. I'm glad I had the chance to meet her.
Ditto kissy's comment. She'll be missed.
