When you say the GCTT is 2 weeks away, is it on 24 August? Aren't you away by then?

@ weeks away is the 17th of August, or was from last week's perspective.

I thought @ weeks was more of a zen figure.

When you are @ the right place, then you will be @ the right time.

Unshift @ once and I will be John @ me.

Look, I've never properly understood the next week thing. My parents and I had a different way of measuring time in Poland and it does not translate well to the way you English speakers deal with it.
I mean, Friday is half way between 2 Tuesdays. So, 2 weeks from Friday is Friday 2 weeks from now.
1 and half weeks from Friday is a Tuesday and 2 and half weeks is also a Tuesday.
What's the rule? Do I round up? Down? Truncate? Argh!!

Think like Wil, it's "into the 2nd week". ie. more than 1 week!

In two weeks' time we'll have a popularly elected Prime Minister rather than the blow in we have now. I've already voted though so all the sweeteners and advertising in the media from here on in is not directed at me.

No we won't. We'll have a popularly elected party that will decide who the Prime Minister will be. We didn't elect Kevin Rudd any more than we elected Julia Gillard.

Maybe a majority elected party, I don't think either are all that 'popular'... :-)

It's common knowledge that people vote for the person, not the party.

It's also common knowledge that people are stupid sheep willing to be led around by the nose by the media.

That's my point. Well actually it wasn't but I'm sure it was in there somewhere.
