Sorry about the hamstring. I hadn't realized it was so bad, though they can go from a minor irritation to a run-stopper almost instantaneously. You did good to make it around. I've had a couple times where I zapped it, and then it was just a long and very slow walk back to the car. No fun.

Did not wear the ear plugs. At one point near #2/3 I thought I heard you coming up on me and I looked and it was Ernst! Is there something in the UNO water? :-)

Not sure about the water. I think I've heard Ernst as a distant locomotive but he's generally ahead. I thought of quitting so as to do no more damage but I'm not convinced I did that much extra anyway. It's not awful but it's not interested in running:).

Obviously the other UNO-land person I was thinking of was Steve Tarry, the original locomotive. He did really well today, said his son has been getting him the do some training.

Yes, Steve indeed. I think I heard 131' for him? Maybe he will be seen more often (than yearly) at O competitions. Today I gave both he & Sharon earned BG caps from '09.

Sorry about the ham. That's the reason Lyn skipped, it's slight but she doesn't want to aggravate it. So being very easy on the running for several weeks.

Thought I heard you chugging behind going to the early controls. After my problem with 2, thought you were long gone so surprised to see you coming down to 16.

I think you found 2 before me - you were headed in the right direction some minutes earlier.

Lyn is smarter/wiser than I am!:-)

You seemed to have a premonition, talking the night before, that you might have trouble out there. I hope you can take care of this quickly. Don't let it become chronic. I ran on a bad hamstring for years; then one bad fall and it broke.

I'm going to put running on the back burner for the time being - that should help.

Thought of you today picking up controls/stands & water stops, probably nice solitude in spite of the work. #20 with water, I think - long haul to get it there. If you have more to do tomorrow with the forecast for heat, you'll need an ice cold beer when back at the ranch, well-deserved.

Nice work, again!
