Going to the radio orienteering champs?
I would really like to try that. My home town in Bulgaria was very big on radio orienteering. Almost as popular as the foot orienteering.
I am; we shall see how it goes. I really wish the field were more competitive - in the US Champs-eligible M21 class, there is only one other runner. There are also two Germans and an Australian, so I am hopeful that the field will have some depth.
It's an interesting sport, but it has fewer technical requirements than orienteering. Once you learn how the radios work, some course strategy, and tactics, it's all running. Hopefully you'll get a chance to try it; the sport seems to be gaining some momentum in the US.
Congratulations on making the WOC team! You are going to have a fulfilling summer.
